Last Day with D.Min. Cohort

My Doctor of Ministry seminars on sermon delivery came to an end today. I have so enjoyed the discussions with a great group of pastors. Here is a picture of my cohort with two of our professors, Keith Essex and Rick Holland.

So does that mean you just have to do your dissertation and then you are done?

I'd be interested in hearing more of your experiences in this program.

Nigel Shailer

Nigel serves as Vice-Principal, Academic Dean and Head of Bible Exposition at The Shepherd’s Bible College in Hastings, New Zealand. His passion is to train and equip believers to serve in the local church as pastors, elders, missionaries, and in significant lay ministries. He is a discipler of men in his local church, and also travels throughout the year to preach and teach both internationally and within New Zealand. Nigel serves as an elder of Riverbend Bible Church. He is also the co-ordinator of the annual Impact Bible Conference and serves as a board member for Gracebooks NZ.

Having been born and raised in Foxton, New Zealand and after serving in various church roles in Palmerston North, Nigel moved with his wife to Los Angeles for eight years where he graduated from The Master’s College and The Master’s Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. He also earned a Bachelor of Applied Theology from Carey Baptist College in Auckland, NZ. While in Los Angeles, Nigel served as Associate Pastor at Community Bible Church and Bible Lecturer at Skyward Bible Institute.

Nigel married Sereena in 1991, and together they serve in the ministry of Riverbend Bible Church in Hastings, New Zealand.
